Lockheed Martin Aircraft Maintenance Associate Manager, F-35 Program in Beaufort, South Carolina
Manage Lockheed Martin Interim Contract Support Personnel (ICS) augmentation workforce integrated into maintenance and flight operations onboard Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC. Serve as the point of contact for the Lockheed Martin (LM) Senior Site Maintenance Manager for all matters dealing with Lockheed Martin Field Team Operations (FTO) personnel. Coordinate with LM and US Marine Corps Quality Department on maintenance issues or concerns identified by Quality. Ensure LM FTO personnel perform to NAVAIR 4790 instructions. Manage personnel in the general services, repairs, and modifications of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Ensures the workforce follows appropriate technical instructions and service polices and procedures. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments salary and recognition/discipline actions. Realigns manpower as required in support of daily maintenance and flying operations. Interfaces with Marine Corps squadron leadership to ensure aircraft support and formal On-The-Job training is completed as planned. Monitors the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) from Action Request (AR) tracking. May be required to travel within the U.S. and overseas as needed. Attend customer generated meetings as required.
Must possess at least an Interim Secret Security clearance. Must be willing to travel within the US and overseas as needed. Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications 1. Fifteen years aircraft maintenance experience. 2. At least 5 years aircraft leadership/management experience. 3. Thorough understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Data Collection systems (such as Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). 4. Working level of knowledge of such programs as; Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Management, Maintenance Information system, Tool and FOD, Time Accounting, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, and Supply Chain Management. 5. Demonstrated experience with maintenance briefing and leading multiple maintenance disciplines. 6. Demonstrated knowledge in executing work schedule development and task assignments. 7. Demonstrated knowledge in execution of annual, quarterly monthly and weekly flying schedules to ensure time tables and events are accomplished as planned.
Desired skills U.S. Navy, Marine Corps or US Air Force experience - thorough understanding of fighter aircraft systems and operation. Forth or fifth generation aircraft maintenance experience. Good communication skills.
