The IT/Control Systems Engineer directs and coordinates the operations of the Company’s computer, software, and information integration systems. This role is responsible for the planning and management of all Information Technology activities including the manufacturing, quality, engineering, E&I, and process control areas. The incumbent will provide development, operational, and data acquisition services. Responsible for integration, training, and software security and must understand the structure of the company and the work of each department to ensure all systems can communicate information and data to meet Company and customer expectations. Maintain current to new technology that may be applicable to Company needs and within the “IT” budget.
This role needs to understand manufacturing operations at the plant level. Needs to be hands on and must have strong leadership qualities to manage a team of highly skilled workers. The IT / Control Systems Supervisor will be responsible for the development and implementation of computer controlled manufacturing processes (such as large furnaces, Press, CMM, Machining Equipment, etc.), and for assuring the accuracy and reliability of those processes and continuously improving the performance and cost of computer controlled manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide hardware design, including I/O, response units, control units, network requirements and software.
Accuracy of process data based on periodic audits and reported problems. Consistency of process.
Implement system and provide operator training. Impact on manufacturing time, cost, and capacity
Plant Integration and Process Applications Development
Gather and analyzes business process, data, and system integration requirements.
Conducts feasibility studies and develops system, time, equipment and cost requirements.
Actively participate in project execution to drive milestone deliverables
Designs relational data structures to support programming requirements
Codes programs in varied languages with focus on VBScript, C++ and Ladder Logic
Provide integrated SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) solutions
Maintain systems throughout a multi-plant division
Meets programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements; implementing new technology.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
Maintain Software, Hardware, Interfacing capabilities, and Personnel status operational and current.
Establishing and implementing strategic plans to achieve Information Technology goals.
Establish a process to continuously evaluate revenues, control costs and assure company financial plans and EBIT goals are met for “IT” department and Company needs.
Develop staffing plans to minimize labor cost and maximize efficiency of all operations
Be the primary source of Information Technology policies and procedures.
Enforce a conduct code and confidentiality policy for employees and guests, including knowledge and compliance to all Federal, State and local laws
Ensure that the Information Storage and Control systems are properly maintained, including the upkeep (condition) of all equipment and software.
Formally review and document the performance of Information Technology staff
Participate in all Management meetings as applicable
Work with appropriate departments to help the Company implement Arconic Policies
Maintain and validate adherence to Arconic’s IT policies
Maintains hardware and software, plans and executes projects as needed to implement new and upgraded communication equipment and procedures
Research and analyze business problems to determine if systems solutions are advisable and available.
Support both large enhancements and ongoing system maintenance work simultaneously.
Able to work in a manufacturing environment where downtime must be minimal
Performs other duties as assigned
General working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
Directly supervises employees in the IT & Control Systems departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for developing employee knowledge and creating a plan to transfer knowledge for developing future growth.

Proficiency in: Proficy Plant Applications (iFix, Historian, Portal), Rockwell Automation Software (Factory Talk View, RSLinx, Factory Talk Historian), VBA, Microsoft Suite / SQL / AutoCAD / Server / Active Directory / Group Policy / Cisco
Experience with creating or following business analyst competencies:

Minimum Years of Experience:
•Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, Electrical or instrumentation field, Engineering from an accredited institution.
•Minimum of 3 years experience in an plant based IT/ Engineering role.
•Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience
